1. Zinc borate can be used as multi-functional synergistic additives with antimony oxide or other halogenated flame retardants to significantly improve the flame retardant performance, remove smoke emission and adjust the balance on chemical, mechanical, electrical etc properties. 2. As environmental protection substitute to replace current Antimony Oxide or halogen flame retardants, Zinc borate is directly used in PVC, PE, Polyolefin, Epoxy Polyamide etc resins and rubber process. Moreover, it is widely used in textile, fiber, floor, leather, wall paper, carpet, paint etc decorative materials to improve flame retardant performance. 3. Base on its anti static properties, zinc borate is widely used in mining plastic material, and used on anti-corrosion, infra red absorption, fungicide for wood preservation etc fields. |

Zinc Borate is an important additive to help achieve excellent flame resistance in rubber articles. It is a free-flowing powder that disperses easily. Zinc borate can be added to any flame retardant system and will improve flame test result with minimal effect on compound properties. Zinc borate will form a glassy char at high temperatures that prevents flame propagation. It also release water of hydration similar to ATH. Zinc borate is a synergist with Antimony trioxide and halogenated flame-retardant as well as ATH. The combined ingredients will have better-free, flame-resistant rubber that generates minimum acidic smoke. |
